Connecting NetWeaver Java Systems

The Snow Optimizer permits to connect SAP Java systems based on the UME (User Management Engine), like SAP Portals.

Each connected Java systems needs an RFC connection of type G in the Snow Optimizer. The RFC user on the Java system needs, besides the basic authorizations for every user (usually available as the role Everyone), at least the roles NWA_READONLY and a role with the action Spml_Read_Action. To update user master data, the action Spml_Write_Action is also required. The specified language of the user should be English (United States).
