License Key

To operate the software, a license key is necessary. The license is usually delivered separately from the software in the form of a file (e.g. by email). As of release 3 of the Snow Optimizer, the license file has the ending .KEY and restricts the use of the master component of the Snow Optimizer to SAP systems with a given installation number.

To be able to install the license key an authorization is needed (see Authorization Object Z:DYNAM:AD). The necessary authorization is also contained in the sample Role /DYNAM/MASTER_ALL.

After successful import of the transports, and if the necessary authorizations are assigned to your user, you will be able to install the license key in the following way:

  1. Start transaction /DYNAM/SO

  2. Go to menu point Administration→Product License. After double click the product license screen appears

  3. In the button bar press Install license file (F8)

  4. Choose the file with the license key and press Open
