Define data sources and load system data
In data source administration, data sources are defined to load and manage system data of connected systems. Basic settings specify if data is loaded from data sources and if data on data sources is considered in reports.
On a Supermaster system, Submaster systems can be connected in the data source administration via Master Synchronization Points.

On the master system, execute transaction /DYNAM/SO.

In the menu, expand folder 'Administration' and double-click on 'Data source administration'.

Click on .
To create a very first data source folder or entry, right-click in empty area.
To create another data source folder or entry, right-click on existing folder or entry.
In context menu, click on 'Create', select data source folder or entry and place to insert.

If folder was selected, enter folder name and description and click on .

If data source entry was selected, select data source type.
Enter description.
Enter RFC destination for ABAP, Java-UME, BusinessObjects, or S/4HANA Cloud system or enter DB connection for HANA system.
To activate system connection and load system data, click on .

To save changes, press CTRL+S.
