Update info

Please note the following information when you update Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software from an earlier release to release 3.2:

  • SAP has discontinued the API for retrieving data from S/4HANA Cloud systems. The feature to load S/4HANA Cloud data online via RFC connection is removed from Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software. You can still import S/4HANA Cloud data offline via CSV files.

  • There is a new authorization object for showing prices and documents. Only users who have been assigned this authorization object can view prices or documents in contracts, rule set results, cost allocations, and compliance analysis. You may therefore also have to update to the updated /DYNAM/MASTER_ALL role or adapt your own roles.

  • The item type Cloud subscription no longer exists in contract management. All existing items of the item type Cloud subscription will be migrated to the item type Subscription.

  • Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software no longer supports SAP Solution Manager dashboard. The dashboard customizing is removed from the menu.

  • Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software Manuals are only provided in Snow Docs.

    tip

    • Active Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software customers please request Snow Docs access authorization from the Snow Support Portal.

    • You can open Snow Docs from the Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software menu or reports with auto login.

  • To use the new dashboard feature, you have to install a new license key. Please request the license key in the Snow Support Portal.

    Existing customers can use the dashboard feature free of charge.
