Objects export/import

Objects import and export provides functions to transfer certain object types between different Snow Optimizer installations. Selected object types are exported to a file which is stored on the front-end. Files with object types to import are stored on the front-end as well. During the import, tests are executed to identify inconsistencies.

Object types which can be exported and imported are:

  • Aggregation rules, lists, and schemes

  • License type hierarchies

  • Local and global rules

  • Rule sets

  • Duplicate rules

  • Usage profiles

  • ABAP role classifications

note

  • By selecting an object type, all objects contained in or depending on this object type are selected as well.

  • If an object has Notes, the notes are automatically exported/imported together with the object.
