Cost allocation schemes
Cost allocation schemes are based on created cost center hierarchies and define how costs for SAP users are allocated to respective cost centers by using one of the available cost allocation types.
The cost allocation types which include aggregation use respective schemes to aggregate users. Otherwise, aggregation is not considered.
Cost allocation types are:
-
'User license type consolidated (aggregated)'
This cost allocation type is the most common option to use because it is equivalent to SAP's named user license model and SAP users are distributed to cost centers consolidated by license type.
-
'User license type local (non-aggregated)'
This cost allocation type can be used to count users and license types for each data source separately.
-
'User (aggregated or non-aggregated)'
These cost allocation types can be used to only count users and not consider the license type during distribution of costs to cost centers.
-
'CPU time consumption (aggregated or non-aggregated)'
These cost allocation types can be used to distribute summed up CPU times from either aggregated users or separated users on individual data sources to cost centers.
-
'Dialog steps (aggregated or non-aggregated)'
These cost allocation types can be used to distribute summed up number of dialog steps from either aggregated users or separated users on individual data sources to cost centers.
Costs can be allocated by using percentages but cannot exceed 100 percent in total.
