With the Cost allocation feature in Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software, you can allocate the costs of SAP users to cost carriers. In this way, you get an overview of the distribution of SAP costs in your company.

Description

The Cost allocation feature consists of Cost carrier hierarchies, Cost allocation schemas, an execution report, and a report result overview.

Best practice

To get the most out of the cost allocation feature in Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software, perform the following steps:

  • Determine your company's cost structures and create the cost carriers and the cost carrier hierarchy in Cost carrier hierarchies.

  • Decide whether you want to allocate costs based on users per license type, users only, CPU time, or dialog steps before you create cost allocation schemas.

  • If you want to allocate costs based on aggregated users per license type, maintain the license contracts in Contract management to get current costs.

  • To get current data, load the user data or execute the rule set that you want to use in the report before you execute the cost allocation report.
