With the contract management function of Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software, you can manage all information about your licensed SAP products , your SAP license contracts, and the resulting costs. Using this information you can perform compliance analyses, either with a report in the contract management or in the results of rule set executions.

Description

The contract management function in Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software consists of products, contracts, self-declarations, and a compliance analyses report.

In products and contracts, you transfer the data of your SAP license contracts to Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software. For each product, you can maintain the inventory determination type and further product information like product type, metric, or block size. You can calculate the inventory of engines with multiple units in Formula editor for products.

Within the license contracts, you maintain the number of products and prices. You can assign contracts and products to organizational units. If products within a license contract are no longer licensed, you can terminate these products.

In self-declarations, you can manually maintain products that were not automatically measured by Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software, in particular engines.

With the compliance analysis report, you compare the number of licenses purchased and the associated costs with the actually measured and self-declared numbers. You can save and export compliance analysis results.

To get the most out of the Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software contract management, follow the steps below:

  1. Create all your licensed SAP products.

  2. Create the frame contracts, license contracts, and the contract hierarchy.

  3. Maintain the numbers of products, which cannot be measured automatically.

  4. Execute the compliance analysis report.
