Manage cost allocation schemas

Access through: Cost allocation > Cost allocation schemas

In preparation for executing cost allocations, you can create cost allocation schemas in Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software.

note

Cost allocation schemas contain cost carrier hierarchies. Hence, you must create cost carrier hierarchies before you can create cost allocation schemas.

Create cost allocation schema

  1. Select New.png.

  2. Enter the name and description for the new cost allocation schema.

  3. Select a cost carrier hierarchy.

  4. Select a cost allocation type.

  5. To add schema rows, do the following:

    1. Select Add.png.

    2. Select the data source type and select Accept.png.

    3. Enter the description for the new schema row.

    4. To add conditions to the schema row, do the following:

      1. In Conditions, select Add.png.

      2. Select the User master data or System data condition type and select Accept.png.

      3. Enter the description for the new condition.

      4. Select the field type and enter the field values.

        note

        The available field types depend on the selected condition type.

      5. Select the condition shape aggregation group.

      6. Select Accept.png.

      7. Repeat steps a. to f. until you added all required entries.

    5. To add cost carrier assignments to the schema row, do the following:

      1. In Cost carrier assignments, select Add.png.

      2. Select the cost carrier and change the percentage if required.

      3. Select Accept.png.

      4. Repeat steps a. to c. until you added all required entries.

    6. Select SAP navigation back.png.

  6. To save and activate the cost allocation schema, select Activate.png.

    note

    You have to save and activate a cost allocation schema before you can use the cost allocation schema in a cost allocation execution.

After creating a cost allocation scheme, you can select the cost allocation scheme in a cost allocation execution.

Change cost allocation schema

  1. Select the row of a cost allocation schema.

  2. To show the detailed view, select Details.png.

  3. To switch to change mode, select Switch to change mode.png.

  4. To make changes, do the following:

    • Change the name or description of the cost allocation schema.

    • Change the cost carrier hierarchy or the cost allocation type.

    • To add schema rows, select Add.png.

    • To delete schema rows, select a row and select Delete1.png.

    • To cut schema rows, select a row and select Cut.png.

    • To copy schema rows, select a row and select Copy2.png.

    • To paste schema rows, select Paste.png.

    • To swap schema rows, select two rows and select Swap.png.

  5. To save and activate the cost allocation schema, select Activate.png.

    note

    You have to save and activate a cost allocation schema before you can use the cost allocation schema in a cost allocation execution.

Copy cost allocation schema

  1. Select the row of a cost allocation schema.

  2. Select Copy1.png.

  3. Change the name and description of the cost allocation schema.

  4. Make other required changes:

    • Change the cost carrier hierarchy or the cost allocation type.

    • To add schema rows, select Add.png.

    • To delete schema rows, select a row and select Delete1.png.

    • To cut schema rows, select a row and select Cut.png.

    • To copy schema rows, select a row and select Copy2.png.

    • To paste schema rows, select Paste.png.

    • To swap schema rows, select two rows and select Swap.png.

  5. To save and activate the cost allocation schema, select Activate.png.

    You have to save and activate a cost allocation schema before you can use the cost allocation schema in a cost allocation execution.
