External accesses

Access through: Indirect usage > External accesses

External accesses is part of the Indirect Usage feature in Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software.

Description

In External accesses, you find monitoring reports to analyze external access to and from SAP systems for the access technologies RFC and HTTP, IDoc, and batch input.

RFC and HTTP access

You can show RFC and HTTP access from external when the ABAP data source acts as a server and RFC and HTTP access to external when the ABAP data source acts as a client:

With the Overview RFC and HTTP accesses report you can show an overview of RFC and HTTP connections. The RFC destinations and users report gives you detailed information about the RFC destinations.

IDoc

IDoc is the central exchange format of SAP systems. It is used to import and export data to and from a system, such as purchase orders, delivery notes, or invoices. There are reports to show an overview of IDoc senders and receivers and outbound and inbound IDocs.

Batch input

Batch input is one of the primary ways in which data can be transferred into an SAP system. Batch input is used for bulk data transfers and not for near real-time data transfers. Typical uses of batch input include the one-time import of data from a legacy system into a newly installed SAP system.

There is a report to show an overview of the batch input sessions.
