Manage user master data update schemes

Access through: User master data maintenance > User master update schemes

In preparation for Apply user master update scheme, you can create user master data update schemes in Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software.

Create user master data update scheme​

You can create user master data update schemes that replace data based on a class implementation or based on scheme rows.

  1. Select New.png.

  2. Enter the name and description for the new user master data update scheme.

  3. Select the data source type.

  4. Enter the target field.

  5. Do one of the following:

    • If you want to use a class implementation:

      1. Select the checkbox and enter the class implementation.

    • If you want to create scheme rows:

      1. Select Add1.png.

      2. Enter the source field, regular expression, and replacement term.

      3. Repeat steps a. to b. until you added all required entries.

  6. To save and activate the user master data update scheme, select Activate.png.

You have to save and activate a user master data update scheme before you can use the user master data update scheme in Apply user master update scheme .

Change user master data update scheme​

  1. Select the row of a user master data update scheme.

  2. To show the detailed view, select Details.png.

  3. To switch to change mode, select Switch to change mode.png.

  4. To make changes, do the following:

    • Change the name or description of the user master data update scheme.

    • Change the data source type, target field, or type for updating data.

    • To add scheme rows, select Add1.png.

    • To delete scheme rows, select scheme rows and select Delete1.png.

    • To cut scheme rows, select one row and select Cut.png.

    • To copy scheme rows, select one row and select Copy2.png.

    • To paste scheme rows, select Paste.png.

    • To swap scheme rows, select two rows and select Swap.png.

  5. To save and activate the user master data update scheme, select Activate.png.

You have to save and activate a user master data update scheme before you can use the user master data update scheme in Apply user master update scheme .

Copy user master data update scheme​

  1. Select the row of a user master data update scheme.

  2. Select Copy1.png.

  3. Change the name and description of the user master data update scheme.

  4. Make other required changes:

    • Change the data source type, target field, or type for updating data.

    • To add scheme rows, select Add1.png.

    • To delete scheme rows, select scheme rows and select Delete1.png.

    • To cut scheme rows, select one row and select Cut.png.

    • To copy scheme rows, select one row and select Copy2.png.

    • To paste scheme rows, select Paste.png.

    • To swap scheme rows, select two rows and select Swap.png.

  5. To save and activate the user master data update scheme, select Activate.png.
