This migration manual is directed at the SAP system administrators in your organization. Purpose of the manual is to enable a trouble-free migration of Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software to a new target SAP system. Most commonly Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software is installed on a Solution Manager system.

There are two ways to migrate a Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software installation to another SAP system:

1. Automatic migration

   Migrate the entire installation automatically using a report.

2. Manual migration

   Migrate the installation performing some manual work steps. However, this way it is not possible to migrate certain objects like rule set results or contract data.

Both the automatic and manual method are described in the following sections. Nevertheless, for a faster and complete migration it is recommended using the automatic migration.
