Step 1: Prepare target system

1. Install Snow Optimizer.

   On the source system and the target system the very same Snow Optimizer release must be installed. For system requirements and installation steps of Snow Optimizer see the corresponding installation manual.

2. Load and install the license key.

   Snow Optimizer menu > folder 'Administration' > menu entry 'Product license'

   If the installation number of the source system is the same as of the target system, the same product license can be used. If the installation number is different a new product license must be requested from Snow Software.

3. In the template manager, install the standard templates.

   Snow Optimizer menu > folder 'Administration' > menu entry 'Template manager'

4. Set up RFC connections to the satellite systems using transaction SM59. It is recommended to use the same names as in the source system.

5. Create data sources with the same names as in the source system using the created RFC connections.

   Snow Optimizer menu > folder 'Administration' > menu entry 'Data source administration'
