Load LMBI measurement file
Load LMBI measurement file
Access through: Administration > Data > BusinessObjects systems > Load LMBI measurement file for BusinessObjects system
The Load LMBI measurement file for BusinessObjects system report uploads an LMBI measurement file.
Description
This report allows you to load an XML file of the License Measurement tool for SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform (LMBI) into Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software. The report has two modes: The data in the XML file can replace all BusinessObjects data you loaded via an RFC connection or the data in the file supplements the loaded BusinessObjects data in Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software.
There are two reasons to use the LMBI data instead of or in addition to the data loaded online:
-
There are technical difficulties to establish an online connection to the BusinessObjects system.
-
The authorization data of the BusinessObjects users is needed. This data type is only available via LMBI file import.
Selection criteria
In addition to the standard selections, the selection screen of the report has the following selections:
File selection
You must select an LMBI measurement file in XML format from the front-end.
Options for data replacement
Select whether you want to replace all BusinessObjects data in Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software with the data in the XML file, or whether you want to supplement BusinessObjects data existing in Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software with information from the XML file. Regardless of which option you select, any usage and user group data that has already been loaded is kept because it is not included in the XML file. To exclude data of deactivated users select No deactivated users.
You can execute this report in the background.
