The S/­4HANA Cloud systems folder has all functions to import and manage data from connected S/­4HANA Cloud data sources.

note

The S/4HANA Cloud system type includes S4/HANA on-premises systems.

CSV file import

CSV file import

Access through: Administration > Data > S/­4HANA Cloud systems > CSV import – S/­4HANA Cloud

The CSV file import feature allows you to import data from S/4HANA Cloud data sources offline into Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software. The import is done via CSV files created with the download function in S/4HANA Cloud.

Create CSV file

The following table shows the catalog, applications, main entities, and views in S/4HANA Cloud to create the CSV files for the different S/4HANA Cloud data types. You can start the download of the CSV files by selecting the download button in the respective S/4HANA Cloud report result.

Import user data CSV

This report imports user data of S/4HANA Cloud systems from a CSV file.

Selection criteria

In addition to the standard selections, the selection screen of the report has the following selections:

Options for file selection

You can select whether the report loads the CSV file from the application server or from the front-end. In both cases, you must enter the file path.

Options for import

Select whether to supplement existing user data or fully import user data from the CSV file. You can select to import data of active users only.

You can execute this report in the background.

Import user role assignment CSV

This report imports user role assignment data of S/4HANA Cloud systems from a CSV file.

The Data administration S/­4HANA Cloud systems feature allows you to manage imported data of connected S/­4HANA Cloud data sources.

Description

A table shows icons for the status of the data types for each connected S/­4HANA Cloud data source. When you select an icon, a pop-up shows the data source and category, and when and by whom the data was last loaded. There are options for loading and deleting data. If you select an empty field, a pop-up only shows the data source, category, and option for loading data. You can define warning thresholds that specify the time when the data becomes outdated.

Manage warning thresholds

For each data type, you can specify the number of days from which the data is outdated.

  1. Select Settings.png.

  2. Enter the numbers for the warning thresholds.

    note

    If you enter no number, the default value of 31 days is used.

Delete non-periodic data of S/­4HANA Cloud systems

Access through: Administration > Data > S/­4HANA Cloud systems > Delete non-periodic data S/­4HANA Cloud systems

The Delete non-periodic data S/­4HANA Cloud systems report deletes imported data of selected S/­4HANA Cloud data sources.

Description

This report allows you to delete imported data of S/­4HANA Cloud systems.

Selection criteria

In addition to the standard selections, the selection screen of the report has the following selections:

Data types

You can deselect the data types that you do not want to delete.

You can execute this report in the background.

Result

The report result shows information about the selected data sources, data types, and loading dates.

Functions available in the report result:

  • Select rows and select Delete.png to delete data.
