HR activity status

Access through: Reports > Show HR activity status

The HR activity status report shows the HR activity status of users across different system types.

Before using this report, you must assign HR data sources to data sources in Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software in HR connector.

Description​

This report helps you identify the activity of users on data sources of the type ABAP, Java UME, HANA, BusinessObjects, and external systems based on the HR activity status.

The start date and end date of a user define the employment status on HR data sources. An effective date indicates whether the status is active or inactive. If the effective date for determining the HR activity status is between the start and end dates of a user, the HR status is active. If the effective date for determining the HR activity status is outside the start and end dates of a user, the HR status is inactive.

In HR master data (transaction PA30, infotype 0000 actions) you can show the start and end dates of users on HR data sources.

Selection criteria​

In addition to the standard selections, the selection screen of the report has the following selections:

Option for HR activity status

You can select whether and to what extent the report result considers the HR activity status.

  • All: The result shows all users, regardless of whether they have an HR status or not.

  • With status: The result shows users with an HR status.

  • Active on effective day: The result shows users with an active HR status.

  • Inactive on effective day: The result shows users with an inactive HR status.

  • No status: The result shows users without an HR status.

  • No status or inactive on effective day: The result shows users without an HR status or that are inactive.

The default setting for the Effective date field is the current day. You can change the date if necessary.

The infotype 0105 communications, subtype 0001 system user name, establishes the connection of the personnel number in HR systems with the user name in the user master data. This infotype has its own validity period. Sometimes, the validity period of the 0105 infotype might not be up to date. To also show users who have the status inactive due to an 0105 infotype that has expired, activate the Account for expired IT0105 records checkbox. This checkbox is activated by default.

You can execute this report in the background.

tip

To get a meaningful report result, you should select an aggregation scheme like, for example, aggregation by email.

Result​

The report result shows user data on HR data sources depending on the selected standard selection criteria and HR activity status options. The All users tab provides user information across systems, while tabs for individual systems give user information for each system type. Columns highlighted in yellow indicate HR system data.
